5RH enjoyed their visit to Hillsborough castle. What beautiful gardens. We enjoyed walking the Kingfisher trail before visiting the house in the hope of being offered a job as a servant.

2HB have been working hard at their Fast Phonics, Reading Eggs and Mathseeds and have earned a LOT of certificates!

Year 5 enjoyed their trip to visit Hillsborough Castle. What a surprise when we knocked the castle door only to be greeted by the chief housekeeper from the Victorian period. Mrs Lambourne was very strict and wasn't impressed with us. She explained that getting a job wouldn't be easy and if we did get a job we would be put to work right away. We visited different rooms in the castle, learned about the foods they ate and how different the food of servants was to that of the wealthy.
