Mrs Mack’s class had a wonderful day taking part in a range of exciting activities. The pupils created a digital book cover during a Just2easy live lesson, talked about their favourite books, enjoyed a Storytelling and Draw Along session with author and illustrator Johnathan Sung, and participated in the Book Swap.

Year 7 celebrated World book day by dressing up as their favourite book character. They also enjoyed taking part in the whole school book swap. In the afternoon they went to Mrs Murphy’s class to become book buddies. In Term 1, Year 6 took part in swimming lessons as part of their PE curriculum. This year, the focus was on improving technique and seeing how quickly each pupil could complete a 25m swim. The pupils worked incredibly hard, showed great determination and made fantastic progress throughout the term. Well done, Year 6!

Not only did the pupils look fantastic in their costumes, but they also took part in lots of exciting activities. These included reading with the Year 3 pupils, joining a BBC Live Lesson, creating a book about their favourite characters and taking part in a Scholastic draw?a?thon with author Jamie Gregory. It was a brilliant day full of creativity, imagination and a real love of reading!
