Over the past few weeks, the children in 2CH have enjoyed reading The Mouse and the Moon Rocket as part of their topic work. They have taken part in a range of activities across the curriculum inspired by the story.
In Communication, the children made excellent predictions about what might happen next in the book and discussed whether the mouse would successfully reach the moon.
In Using Mathematics, they explored measuring by estimating the length of different animals found in the story using non standard units.
During Learning Through Play and Outdoor Learning, the children have been busy creating their own rockets and acting out the roles of the various characters from the story.
Today they did a great job painting 'Starry Night' pictures taking inspiration from Vincent van Gogh.
