This week in science the pupils had the opportunity to design and make a boat powered by elastic energy. The pupils used corroflute and an elastic band to make a propellor boat which would travel along a water way. They had to decide whether a short or longer elastic band was better, the direction and number of times to twist the propellor. The pupils had great fun sailing their boats. This investigation was in connection with their study of the Titanic.
