The Eco Committee would wish, on behalf of Ballymoney Model IPS, to extend a huge thank you to Sustrans for donating bikes and scooters to our school. The Field Officer, Mr Johnny McCrystal along with the Charity Volunteer, Alastair, presented the bikes and scooters to the Eco Committee at their monthly meeting yesterday. After the presentation, the Eco Committee members enjoyed a very interesting presentation to explain how the bikes and scooters have been rescued from Landfill, repaired by the local Charity and given to Sustrans to donate to local schools. This is an amazing Eco and practical means of recycling bikes and scooters and reducing our Local Landfill.We look forward to getting “Active,” and learning how to cycle in our school grounds on these wonderful, bicycles and scooters.
