We had two very special visitors in P5 today, Lee and Dale from Ballymoney Fire Service who came to give us a talk on fire safety at home.
They taught us all to STOP!
S was for Smoke Alarms that we must have in our home both upstairs and downstairs.
T was for Test - Test it Tuesday was taught to remind us to check our alarms weekly.
O was for Obvious Danger such as electrics, candles and exposed wires in the home.
P was for Plan - have a plan of action when a fire breaks out, know your nearest exits and call 999 and ask for the Fire Service.
We are now part of the fire safety team and we are proud to represent our school in this way. We had fun asking questions, hearing some exciting stories and trying on some of the fire gear they kindly brought along.
