Walk Wheel Cycle Trust Special Assembly : Promotion of Book Swap Shop on Thursday 5th and Active Travel on Friday 6th March
A huge thank you is extended to the Project Officer, Mr McCrystal, from the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, who presented an interesting presentation to promote World Book Day, Book Swap on Thursdsy 5th March and Active travel “ Bring your Wheels to school on Friday 6th March.
Thanks also to the lovely singing and actions, led by Mrs Murphy’s class to our Special whole school assembly to start this new month of March with the School Monthly value of “Harmony.”
Tomorrow, Thursday 5th March for World Book Day, pupils may come dressed in his/ her favourite book costume and are encouraged, to pack into their school bag, any “Pre- Loved,” books they wish to swap at the “Book Swap Shop.” which is being held as part of World Book Day in school tomorrow morning.
Thanks in advance to The School Librarians, The Eco Committee who are all helping with this event as part of their Pupil Leadership roles.
Pupils tomorrow morning in their classroom may give, if wish, to his/her class teacher his/ her “PreLoved Book (s)” and in exchange for each book, will be given a “Book Swap Shop Token.” to bring to the “World Book Day Book Swap Shop,” being held in the School Dining Hall.
If you bring 4 books, you will get 4 book tokens in exchange.
This is such a great initiative by the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, to promote the enjoyment of reading favourite books and also to promote and highlight the local and global issues of sustainability and recycling in our environment and global world.
