World Book Day 2026:- Walk and Wheel Cycle Trust, “ Book Swap Shop,”

5th Mar 2026

World Book Day 2026 was celebrated today by interesting and inspiring variety of ways to capture the “ love and enjoyment of reading books.” Pupils enjoyed coming to school, dressed up as his/ her favourite book character. There was a buzz of excitement this morning with boys and girls in Year 1- Year 7 bringing in books to donate to the Walk and Wheel and Cycle Trust, to exchange/ swap at the Book Swap Shop.
A huge thank you is extended to all staff and non- teaching staff for all their support and to The Eco Committee, School Librarians, classroom assistants, Mrs Waide, Mrs Hiscock and Miss Gardiner, Mr Johnston, Buildings Supervisor and to Mrs Mack, Communication Leader, for enabling the “ Book Swap Shop,” to be such a successful and enjoyable World Book Day event. Finally, thank you to all Parents/ Carers, for helping your child select and donate his/ her Pre- Loved Books to bring into school this morning, to support our Eco- Schools Green Flag, Walk and “Wheel Cycle Trust Book Swap Shop ,” on World Book Day 2026.
Thank you
