World Book Day in P5

World Book Day in P5 – A Week Full of Stories and Creativity! 

Mrs McCook's P5 class have had a fantastic and very busy week celebrating World Book Day! We started the week with an exciting live lesson with the illustrator of the Tom Gates books. She answered our questions in a live Q&A and amazed us by showing off her incredible artistic skills.

We also joined a live read and draw session with Jonathan Sung, the author of Goodnight Moon, where we followed along to create our own illustrations. Inspired by all the amazing stories, we designed our very own book covers and let our creativity shine!

World Book Day itself was full of colour and imagination as everyone came dressed up as their favourite characters – and they all looked absolutely wonderful! We also participated in the Big Book Swap! There were some amazing books on the table to choose from!

To finish off our celebrations, we used Just2Easy to create our own digital characters, bringing even more stories to life.

It has been a very busy week, but full of fun, creativity and a real love of reading. Well done P5!
