School Garden : Eco Committee say thank you.
The Eco Committee on Wednesday 2nd April, had a busy afternoon in the beautiful sunshine in the School Garden.
Mrs Arlow came to our Eco Committee Meeting and kindly donated onion seeds and helped the boys and girls to plant them carefully in rows in a wooden bed. Artichokes were also dug up in two wooden beds and a huge thank you is extended to Mrs Arlow and to our classroom assistant Mrs Waide for their help with this gardening task.
With Spring time and this lovely sunshine this week, it was great to see the leaves starting to appear on the fruit bushes and the young rhubarb growing back after winter.
The wooden beds we also started to make preparations, and thanks to our Buildings Supervisor, Mr Johnston for his interest and help with this, ready for gardening and Outdoor Learning week next Term.
Thank you to the Eco Committee for all their help in our School Garden.
Mrs Arlow enjoyed helping us so much, she is looking forward to coming back to our next Eco Committee Meeting.
Many thanks,
Mrs Murphy,
Eco- Schools Leader.
